THE CHALLENGE
After the downfall of reddits streaming solution PAN aka Public Access Network, the users on reddit (r/pan specifically) were looking for a new platform to migrate too. This is where we come in, After proper research and gauging market interest we decided to build our own livestreaming platform called "Popcide" from scratch and oh boy what an exciting journey that was!
PROJECT GOALS
Ease of Use
Intuitive and user-friendly interface for easy navigation and easy onboarding
Rapid Prototype
The prototype had to go to market in the shortest time possible
Low Latency Solution
Video and audio real time streaming had to have a latency of 5 seconds or lower no matter where the content was streamed from
THE PROCESS TO SUCCESS

RESEARCH
We started with researching the available solutions on the market and gauging market interest and doing competitor research

step 2
DESIGN
2
Our team worked very hard over a span of time to develop a livestreaming solution. We worked in an Agile method which helped us build, test and iterate over features without loosing any momentum
step 3
DEPLOY
We automated all deployment and ensured server availability to always be above 99%
